RWC supporting essential trades during COVID-19

RWC supporting essential trades during COVID-19

For the problem solvers, the urgent fixers, the everyday heroes and the truly up against it, we’re with you all the way.

We are following Government and World Health Organization guidelines to safeguard our employees, customers and stakeholders, while supporting trades, infrastructure and healthcare. We’ll get through this together.

During times of crisis, even when most people are asked to stay indoors, there are certain services that need to continue running to keep the public safe, healthy and connected. These range from utilities and internet connectivity right through to plumbing and heating and clean water supply. These are essential services and play a critical role in ensuring that the world keeps moving.

Like plumbing and heating installers, RWC plays a vital role in suppling plumbing and water delivery products that are critical to maintaining public health, safety and sanitation during these difficult times. And to support the essential trades that are operating in the front line, RWC has taken additional measures to continue the safe and uninterrupted supply of plumbing and heating products.

We understand that you need a full range of pipevalves and fittings for emergency repair works and crucial building infrastructures, so we are proactively taking the steps below to keep plumbing and heating businesses moving during these unprecedented times.

Ensuring product availability

We remain open to continue delivering products to plumbing and heating suppliers – so that essential trades continue to have access to the products they need.

  • To ensure you can easily find the products you need, we are actively working with our internal distribution fleet, third party shippers and freight forwarders to make timely deliveries to merchants and stockists that are still operational.
  • To make sure we restock vital products that are most critical for protecting sanitation, health and wellbeing, we are prioritising production to ensure these products remain available.

We are also proud to be supporting the healthcare sector during these challenging times by supplying Reliance Valves to hospitals and designing John Guest components for vital ventilators and other critical medical equipment.

Supplying products in the safest way

To ensure that the products leaving our manufacturing and distribution facilities are safe for installers to use, we are following strict government guidance, by maintaining only minimum number of personnel on site. Additional safety measures taken by the business include:

  • Ensuring social distancing of 2m for all employees on-site to reduce the spread of the virus
  • Significantly enhanced cleaning regime in all our facilities
  • Staff education about minimising possible transmission of the virus and appropriate action to take if infection is suspected
